Still no leads on the suspected arson at the Salem-Keizer School District bus garage, which occurred early on Sunday morning the 17th. I'd always wondered why the garage, on Hawthorne Avenue near the Lancaster Mall, was so near major traffic routes, causing traffic delays as they enter and leave the roads near Lancaster. It was good, then, that such a location led to an early detection of the fire. Still, there was considerable and extensive damage to both buses and the building itself.
