Berlin Live In New York

Lou Reed will be performing his classic solo album Berlin in its entirety, in a series of four concerts, and as part of a multi-media presentation of the album, which was released in 1973. Berlin is usually called one of the most depressing and darkest albums ever released, a collection of songs, almost cinematic in style, centering around the turbulent relationship between Caroline and Jim. Coming as it did after the relative commercial success of Transformer and the unlikely hit single Walk On The Wild Side, it wasn't the commercial, hit follow up that most artists would release in hopes of building their audience, but one doesn't need me to tell anybody that such strategy has never been high on Reed's intents as an artist.
