Out With The Old.........

.....not sure if all of these mattresses are outside of a Springfield, OR hotel due to a bedbug infestation or just because they were busted after a porn star convention, but this was the scene today around 12:25 pm today.......just waiting to find a new home somewhere. :D

My Moment In Time 2nd of May 8 a.m.

Have to admit I was rather thankful that I didn't need to get up particularly early to participate in the New York Times A Moment In Time, a world wide effort to document one particular moment in time across the globe, the time being 15:00 UTC, or 8 a.m PST for us here on the west coast of the U.S.A.

Went down to Bryant Park in Albany, figuring that there might be some kind of life stirring as the town began to rise from our collective slumber. At the very least, the Calapooia River would still be ceaselessly flowing, a reminder that there are still some things in the this world that can still move on their own accord. (Yes, I know there are such things as dams, but the general idea remains).

Nobody else was in the park, so it was very quiet, just an occasional car heading into Albany via the Ellsworth Street bridge in the background. I was just hoping that the geese would sit still long enough for their comprehensive surveying of the locale to be as encompassing as it was for this moment. It lasted about 15 seconds, so I was very happy to have taken the picture.

Setting Sun Over The Coast Range

Last Monday evening the 22nd of March just after 7 p.m. PST as the sunlight is reflected off some clouds creating a dual sun illusion. Taken just off the Halsey exit on 99E.

Tumbling Cottonwood Flowers In Albany

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday morning down by the river, taking in the warming rays of the sun as well as being encircled in drifts of cottonwood flowers that certainly made their presence known. I was going to title this post Surprising Where You Find God and post a pic of The Birthday Party posing in an abandoned church around that banner, but could not find said image (just yet), so that will be the caption for the four daisies amongst the weeds.

I Don't Wanna Be Buried......

...in the pet cemetery..............or to be left out to decay in the rain in a northwest Portland lot.

Apparently, it's the end of the line for a parade float.

Karma For The Cardinals?

This fellow was seen sticking his head above the parapet around my parents house late last year. Good omen for the Cardinals today?
