Where's Your Beckham Gone? Los Angeles

In a move that probably failed to shock anybody, Real Madrid's David Beckham is indeed heading toward the United States to likely finish his career with the Los Angeles Galaxy of the Major Soccer League, in a reported $250 million dollar, five year contract.

The move is also expected to bolster the international reputation of the MLS, much as the old North American Soccer League did back in the 1970's by signing the likes of Franz Beckenbauer.


Presumably shopping mall owners will now be able to recognize the celebrated couple and extend to them the same courtesies that we bestow, as a society, to all of our larger than life entertainment heroes.


At least the weather will be a bit warmer for wife Victoria (aka Posh Spice).
