Oregon 66 Stanford 59

On a night when the shots weren't falling, and the overall tempo of the game was slowed down from the usual pace that the Ducks were used to, it took great free throw shooting by the Ducks to edge the Cardinal in a second half come from behind victory at MacArthur Court.

The Ducks shot a season low 28 percent from the field (15 for 53), but connected on 30 of 37 free throws for the difference. The Cardinal team will certainly rue the fact that they could only manage 14 free throw attempts (they made 11), but I will chalk that down to a combination of the Ducks driving to the lane extensively, particularly Aaron Brooks, Tajuan Porter, and Bryce Taylor, along with the excellent defense they played down the stretch against the taller Cardinal team.

One more battle in what's gonna be an exciting Pac-10 conference race, the only thing that matters now is California, on Saturday.
