My Moment In Time 2nd of May 8 a.m.

Have to admit I was rather thankful that I didn't need to get up particularly early to participate in the New York Times A Moment In Time, a world wide effort to document one particular moment in time across the globe, the time being 15:00 UTC, or 8 a.m PST for us here on the west coast of the U.S.A.

Went down to Bryant Park in Albany, figuring that there might be some kind of life stirring as the town began to rise from our collective slumber. At the very least, the Calapooia River would still be ceaselessly flowing, a reminder that there are still some things in the this world that can still move on their own accord. (Yes, I know there are such things as dams, but the general idea remains).

Nobody else was in the park, so it was very quiet, just an occasional car heading into Albany via the Ellsworth Street bridge in the background. I was just hoping that the geese would sit still long enough for their comprehensive surveying of the locale to be as encompassing as it was for this moment. It lasted about 15 seconds, so I was very happy to have taken the picture.
